    As our premier event, the 110th Annual Gold Medal Exhibition, comes to a close on August 14, I invite you to join us for the in-person Paint/Sculpt-Out in Old Towne Orange – the historic district in which the Hilbert Museum of California Art is located. CAC artists will be painting live models in period attire of the 1940s, with backdrops that include the 1938 Mission Revival Orange Train Station. There will also be a table set aside for children to create works of art of their own. Read more

    The year has had a thrilling start, with the Mars Perseverance Rover successfully landing on February 18. That same day, we launched Mars: An Artistic Mission to celebrate the event. Alongside this virtual exhibition, we will host on March 13 a panel of scientists and artists alike, who will detail how science and art are intertwined, creating beautiful art and ease of access to scientific material for the public.
