  • Spring Awakening

    Deadline: Wednesday, February 15, 2023

    Eligible Categories: All Artist Categories

    Spring is all about new beginnings and transformations. The works submitted could depict anything from blooms of California wildflowers, to rainy landscapes, to signs of new life (human or wildlife) or even the return of butterflies and bees. Sculptures could showcase anything from wildlife, to Persephone’s return for spring, or anything symbolizing starting over and starting fresh. Read more

  • Annual Gold Medal Exhibition

    112th Annual Gold Medal Exhibition

    Eligible Categories: Signature Artists, Artists, Out-of-State Artists, Mentorship Program, Sculpture Artists

    Please note that Associate Artists are not eligible to submit artwork for this exhibition. We are pleased to announce that the 112th Annual Gold Medal Exhibition will be held again at the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana. The exhibition dates are Sunday, July 9 to Sunday, September 10, 2023.   • Cultural Celebrations

    Deadline: Wednesday, March 8, 2023

    Eligible Categories: Signature Artists, Artists, Mentorship Program, Associate Artists, Student Artists, Sculpture Artists, Chapter Exhibitions

    For this exhibition we ask artists to submit work that showcase either their personal cultural celebrations, or celebrations that they have had the opportunity to witness. Open to all current California Art Club members of the following chapters; Kern County, Malibu/Ventura, Los Angeles, San Diego, Orange County, Palm Springs Desert, San Gabriel/Pomona Valley, and the Inland Empire.   • A Toast to Hollywood

    Deadline: Wednesday, March 29, 2023

    Eligible Categories: Signature Artists, Artists, Out-of-State Artists, Mentorship Program

    As the iconic Hollywood Sign, Disney Studios and Warner Brothers celebrate their 100th Anniversary in 2023, we explore famous sights in Tinseltown as well as legendary landmarks around the world have had starring roles in films and television. Associate Artists are not eligible to submit to exhibitions at The California Art Club Gallery at The Old Mill. Read more

  • Lazy Days of Summer

    Deadline: Wednesday, April 19, 2023

    Eligible Categories: All Artist Categories

    Summer is the hottest season of the year, and the temp can stay warm even after the sun goes down. The works submitted could range from depicting beachgoers lounging in the sand, to inviting sunny landscapes, to nocturnal seascapes aglow with bioluminescence, to figures finding respite in shaded parks, to gardens overflowing with fresh vegetables and fruit.   • A Feast for the Eyes

    A Feast for the Eyes will celebrate and examine the rich history of agriculture in America, as well as the important cultural influence of food across different communities and how food has historically been a symbol of wealth, joy, and status.   • Autumn Splendor

    Deadline: Wednesday, July 26, 2023

    Eligible Categories: All Artist Categories

    Autumn represents courage and the preservation of life. The works submitted could depict wildlife preparing for the winter, to farmers working on their fall harvest, to still lifes representing favorite symbols of fall, to gorgeous red, green and brown landscapes covered in leaves, to windblown seascapes.   • The Four Seasons of the Inland Empire
