Greetings Friend!

This May will be a month of transition – as we begin to inch our way back to in-person events.

The San Francisco Bay Area Chapter will host a Paint/Sculpt-Out at Crissy Field on May 15, and one week later, we will open On Location in Malibu 2021, our first in-person exhibition in more than a year. Due to Covid-19 guidelines, however, access into the museum galleries will require reservations for timed entry, so check the museum’s website before making the trip to Pepperdine University.

Before the month is over, be sure to view the virtual exhibition for our first-ever Student Art Contest, presented in conjunction with Mars: An Artistic Mission.

We were delighted to view the submissions by budding artists ages 3 to 19. And we are thankful to the art educators among our members – including Christopher and Jennifer Burgan and Nina Fabunmi – who encouraged their students to create and submit works for the contest.
