Midnight tonight is the submission deadline for the exhibition “Magnificent Migrations: A Journey Through Central California.” This exhibition is open to all current members of the California Art Club. We are looking for paintings that depict the natural beauty of Central California, from the golden coast to the Sierra mountains and everywhere between. This spring, the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History’s exhibition themes will focus on the flora and fauna found throughout this region. Please submit works that best capture the vibrant and varied ecosystem of Central California. Subject matter can be as general as the scenic vistas of Big Sur and grandeur of the Sierra Nevada, to as specific as the cypress, eucalyptus, migrant monarchs or the visiting gray whales of Half-Moon Bay. Paintings done en plein air are encouraged and larger studio pieces are also welcome.The exhibition will be held at the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History in Pacific Grove, CA from January 18 – April 14, 2019.
