On Location in Malibu will be presented at the Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art at Pepperdine University, 24255 Pacific Coast Highway Malibu, CA 90263.

The exhibition will be on view at Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art at Pepperdine University, and on the CAC’s Virtual Gallery, from May 11 to July 28, 2024.

This exhibition marks the ninth installment in a triennial series beginning in 1999. Presented in collaboration with the Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art, Malibu’s diverse topography, stretching from the Santa Monica Mountains to the Pacific Ocean, set a stunning backdrop. Amidst this natural splendor exists a vibrant community of residents and visitors, fueling the area’s artistic creativity. From the renowned surf culture to the rich array of wildlife, Malibu offers an endless wellspring of inspiration. Join us as we explore this dynamic locale!

The Reception with the Artists is Saturday, May 11; 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art at Pepperdine University.  A roundtable with exhibiting artists will be held at 4:00 p.m. Admission is free.  You may RSVP for the event here.
