Qualifications:
Open to active Artists, Out-of-State Artists, Mentorship Program or Signature Artist Members of the California Art Club.
Associate Artists and sculptors are not eligible to submit to exhibitions at The California Art Club Gallery at The Old Mill.
Subject:
Moonlight Serenade will showcase the power and ambiance of nocturnal landscapes, seascapes and urban scenes. Figurative works can explore a more mythical/conceptual side of the moon.
We invite artists to submit paintings that explore how the moonlight has inspired artists for centuries. Works can feature anything from urban scenes after dark lit up by the street lights, moonlight reflected on waterscapes, the moon peaking over luminous mountains, etc.
Paintings from any genre will be considered for acceptance.
Please kindly submit works created in the last two years.
Guest Judge:
Jennifer Moses, Signature Artist Member from Ojai, California.
Medium:
Oil, watercolor, pastel or acrylic
Paintings should not exceed 38 inches on the longest side
Frames should add no more than 3 inches to the unframed dimensions.
Please note that due to the small space of the gallery larger works will be considered, however heavily deliberated.
Commission:
60% Artist; 20% Old Mill; 20% CAC
All artwork MUST be for sale.

HOW TO APPLY
Submit all artwork through OnlineJuriedShows. There is no entry limit.
ENTRY FEE
Please pay by credit card through OnlineJuriedShows. For $35, you may submit a single image. Additional images are $10. There is no limit to how many works may be submitted.
Submission fees are non-refundable.
NOTIFICATIONS
Notifications will be sent to artists via their OnlineJuriedShows artist profile on or around Wednesday, December 20, 2023.
ARTWORK DROP-OFF/PICK-UP
Drop-off is Monday, January 22; between 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at The CAC Gallery at The Old Mill.
SHIPPING and SALES
If a work sells, the collector will assume shipping costs. The CAC will handle the sale of the artwork, itself, and any associated tax.
Artwork cannot be removed for the duration of the exhibition.
OUT-OF-TOWN SHIPPING
Artwork must arrive before Friday, January 19, 2024
Artists are responsible for the cost of crating, handling and shipping artwork to and from the exhibition via Box & Ship.
ARTWORK PICK-UP
Monday, May 20, 2024; between 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the CAC Gallery at the Old Mill.
ARTIST RECEPTION
Thursday, January 25; 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at The California Art Club Gallery at the Old Mill.
