Qualifications:
Open to active Artists, Out-of-State Artists, Mentorship Program or
Signature Artist Members of the California Art Club.
Associate Artists and Sculptors are not eligible to submit to exhibitions at The California Art Club Gallery at The Old Mill at this time.
Subject:
Golden Hour Glow will showcase the beautiful golden light that happens the last hour before sunset, and the first hour after sunrise.
We invite artists to submit paintings that explore the warm light that comes just before sunset, and just after sunrise, and imbues a soft natural glow on everything that it touches. Works can feature anything from urban scenes bathed in warm light, landscapes blooming beneath the sun that touches just above the horizon line, and waterscapes that glimmer with warmth. Figurative works can feature radiant portraits, still lifes can explore light pouring in through the window on metallic trinkets, fabric, or other meaningful objects.
Paintings from any genre will be considered for acceptance.
Please kindly submit works created in the last two years.
Guest Judge:
Ellen Howard, CAC Co-Vice President and Artist Member.
Medium:
Oil, watercolor, pastel or acrylic
Please note that due to the small space of the gallery larger works will be considered, however heavily deliberated.
Commission:
60% Artist; 20% Old Mill; 20% CAC
All artwork MUST be for sale.

HOW TO APPLY
Submit all artwork through OnlineJuriedShows. There is no entry limit.
ENTRY FEE
Please pay by credit card through OnlineJuriedShows. For $35, you may submit a single image. Additional images are $10. There is no limit to how many works may be submitted.
Submission fees are non-refundable.
NOTIFICATIONS
Notifications will be sent to artists via their OnlineJuriedShows artist profile on or around Monday, March 18, 2024.
ARTWORK DROP-OFF/PICK-UP
Drop-off is Monday, May 20; between 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at The CAC Gallery at The Old Mill.
SHIPPING and SALES
If a work sells, the collector will assume shipping costs. The CAC will handle the sale of the artwork, itself, and any associated tax.
Artwork cannot be removed for the duration of the exhibition.
OUT-OF-TOWN SHIPPING
Artwork must arrive before Friday, May 17, 2024
Artists are responsible for the cost of crating, handling and shipping artwork to and from the exhibition via Box & Ship.
ARTWORK PICK-UP
Monday, September 16; between 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the CAC Gallery at the Old Mill.
ARTIST RECEPTION
Thursday, May 23; 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at The California Art Club Gallery at the Old Mill.
