Qualifications:
Open to active Artists, Out-of-State Artists, Mentorship Program or Signature Artist Members of the California Art Club.

Associate Artists are not eligible to submit to exhibitions at The California Art Club Gallery at The Old Mill.

Subject:
As the iconic Hollywood Sign, Disney Studios and Warner Brothers celebrate their 100th Anniversary in 2023, we explore famous sights in Tinseltown as well as legendary landmarks around the world have had starring roles in films and television.

Here are some iconic sights that have become recognizable due to their roles in film and television that can be showcased in the exhibition: the Hollywood sign, the Walk of Fame, Capitol Records, Santa Monica Pier, Venice Beach/Muscle Beach, Castle Green Hotel, Gamble House, Colorado Street Bridge, Crystal Cove, Laguna Beach, the Painted Ladies, Golden Gate Bridge, cable cars, Napa Valley, the Sequoias, Las Vegas Strip, the Grand Canyon, New York Skyline, Washington Monument, Hawaiian beaches, Eiffel Tower, Big Ben, or even the Great Pyramids!

Figurative works could feature anything from your favorite stars, to characters, or even crowds of tourists at the Walk of Fame. Still lifes could depict film memorabilia, or items that signify a famous actor, character, or film.
All genres will be considered for this exhibition.

Please kindly submit works created within the last two years.

Guest Judge:

Chuck Kovacic, Signature Artist Member and Chapter Chair of the Los Angeles Chapter of the California Art Club

Medium:
Oil, watercolor, pastel or acrylic

Please note that due to the small space of the gallery larger works will be heavily deliberated.

Paintings should not exceed 30 inches on its longest side. Frames cannot exceed 3 inches.

Commission:
60% Artist; 20% Old Mill; 20% CAC

HOW TO APPLY
Submit all artwork through Online Juried Shows. There is a limit of 5 entries per artist.

ENTRY FEE
Please pay by credit card through Online Juried Shows. For $30, you may submit a single image. Additional images are $5 each. There is a limit of 5 entries per artist.

Submission fees are non-refundable.

NOTIFICATIONS

Notifications will be sent to artists via their OnlineJuriedShows artist profile, and email, on or around Monday, April 10, 2023.

ARTWORK DROP-OFF/PICK-UP

The drop-off date is Monday, May 22, 2023 at The California Art Club Gallery at The Old Mill from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Please note that pick-up from the prior exhibition will be taking place at the same time.

SHIPPING and SALES
If a work sells, the collector will assume shipping costs. The CAC will handle the sale of the artwork, itself, and any associated tax.

All paintings must be wired and ready for hanging. Please label the back of the paintings with your name, title of the artwork, medium, dimensions and price.

Shipped artwork must be received by Box & Ship no later than Friday, May 19, 2023.

Note: Do not ship artwork to the CAC Gallery at The Old Mill. Kindly make all shipments to Box & Ship.

Artwork cannot be removed for the duration of the exhibition.

RECEPTION

A Reception is planned for Thursday, May 25 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the California Art Club Gallery at The Old Mill.
