Exhibition: A Feast for the Eyes

Qualifications:
Open to active Artists, Out-of-State Artists, Mentorship Program or Signature Artist Members of the California Art Club.

Associate Artists are not eligible to submit to exhibitions at The California Art Club Gallery at The Old Mill.

Subject:
A Feast for the Eyes will celebrate and examine the rich history of agriculture in America, as well as the important cultural influence of food across different communities and how food has historically been a symbol of wealth and status.

We invite artists to submit miniatures paintings that explore anything from Californian vineyards, to farm land, to your personal favorite food, to popular fast foods, or beautiful still lifes depicting elegant table settings, fresh fruits and vegetables picked from the garden, or even important cultural dishes that celebrate your heritage.

Paintings from any genre will be considered for acceptance.

Please kindly submit works created in the last two years.

Guest Judge:

Anthony Salvo, Artist Member and Chapter Co-Chair of the Orange County Chapter of the California Art Club

Medium:
Oil, watercolor, pastel or acrylic

Paintings should not exceed 9” x 12” (unframed).

Frames should add no more than 3 inches to the unframed dimensions.

Commission:
60% Artist; 20% Old Mill; 20% CAC

HOW TO APPLY
Submit all artwork through Online Juried Shows. There is an entry limit of 5 per artist.

ENTRY FEE
Please pay by credit card through Online Juried Shows. For $30, you may submit a single image. Additional images are $5 each. There is an entry limit of 5 per artist.

Submission fees are non-refundable.

NOTIFICATIONS

Notifications will be sent to artists via their OnlineJuriedShows artist profile, and email, on or around Monday, July 24, 2023.

ARTWORK DROP-OFF/PICK-UP

The drop-off date is Monday, September 18, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the California Art Club Gallery at The Old Mill.

Please note that pick-up from the previous exhibition will also be taking place at the same time.

SHIPPING and SALES
If a work sells, the collector will assume shipping costs. The CAC will handle the sale of the artwork, itself, and any associated tax.

All paintings must be wired and ready for hanging. Please label the back of the paintings with your name, title of the artwork, medium, dimensions and price.

Shipped artwork must be received at Box & Ship no later than Friday, September 15, 2023.

Note: Do not ship artwork directly to the gallery. Kindly make all shipments to Box & Ship.

Artwork cannot be removed for the duration of the exhibition.

RECEPTION

A Reception is planned for Thursday, September 21 at The California Art Club Gallery at The Old Mill from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
