FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CAC Member Artist Jim Wodark to Jury 10th Annual SLOPOKE

February 24: We are pleased to announce that California Art Club artist Jim Wodark is our Jurist and featured artist for SLOPOKE 2020. Always interested in art, Jim stepped away from a corporate career to become a full-time fine artist. Compelled to share the inspiration he gets from observing the natural beauty surrounding us, he has painted art of the West for more than 30 years. Juried for award by Autry artist Thomas Blackshire, Jim won the “Best of Show” award in last year’s SLOPOKE, which is held at the famous Flag Is Up Farms, owned by “horse whisperer” Monty Roberts and his wife Pat, a renowned equine sculptor. He works very well with the other participating artists sharing his insights and skills with all in an easy-mannered way. Jim has an amazing sense of color and composition and we are proud to have him as our jurist.  Celebrating its 10th Anniversary, the SLOPOKE is set for September 25-27, 2020. It is an annual juried show that features the best art of the West by some of the best contemporary artists. Over 400 are invited, but only 25-30 are accepted, which gives collectors a chance to talk to each artist. Everything about the SLOPOKE emphasizes quality. We encourage California Art Club members to submit an application to participate by going to www.the-slopoke.com.
