The California Art Club and Millard Sheets Art Center are excited to be working together for a second year to celebrate the historic Los Angeles County Fair.

QUALIFICATIONS: Current members of the California Art Club

ARTWORK
-All painting and sculpting mediums are welcome
-All paintings must be framed in order to be exhibited
-All artwork left at Millard Sheets for the exhibition must be available for sale

DETAILS Join fellow CAC artists at the Los Angeles County Fair for a weekend of painting at one of the most exciting events of the year. The range of subjects includes the people, gardens, rides, food, animals and other intriguing attractions. Enjoy painting in the electric ambiance and then have your painting on display through the length of the Fair!

Participants will be given free parking and admission
for the weekend (as well as detailed instructions) after they RSVP, and may arrive to paint any time between 11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. on September 3-4.

This year, participants will have the chance to have their artwork hung in the back gallery of the Millard Sheets Art center through the end of Fair on September 25. Artwork and artwork information can either be left and Millard Sheets after painting September 3-4, or can be dropped off on Monday September 5.

In the tradition of the Fair, the reception on September 10 will also include a presentation of three cash prizes! Prizes include a First ($500) and Second ($250) prize, juried by a CAC Artist and the Manager of the Millard Sheets Art Center, and an Audience Favorite ($250), voted on by the public!

This paint-out and exhibition will serve to educate and excite the public as the California Art Club and Millard Sheets Art Center look forward to a formal exhibition, The Plein Air Perspective, in November.
