On February 18, 2021, the Mars 2020 spacecraft – Perseverance – landed at Jezero Crater on the Red Planet. To celebrate this monumental event, the California Art Club unveiled on that day the online exhibition Mars: An Artistic Mission.

This display spans fact, fiction and fantasy with both paintings and sculpture inspired by photography of Mars, as well as literature – including science fiction – about our neighboring planet.
