The Malibu/Ventura County Chapter will host a monthly paint/sculpt-out on Saturday, June 17, 2017

Venue: King Gillette Ranch

26800 West Mulholland Highway, Calabasas, CA

Headquarters of the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area.

Note:  The Ranch is frequently used for filming.  The parking lot where I have indicated that we should meet, on the map below, may not be available.  Be flexible and call me on my cell phone, listed below, if we need to find another one on the property.

Eligibility:  Open to all CAC members and their friends

Directions:  Take 101 Ventura Freeway to the Las Virgenes/Malibu Canyon exit.  Head south on Las Virgenes Road and continue to Mulholland Hwy, about two miles.  Turn left onto Mulholland Highway and immediately look for the King Gillette Ranch entrance on the right.

Take I-10 Santa Monica Freeway west to the Pacific Coast Highway north.  Travel apx 12 miles then turn right onto Malibu Canyon Road.  Continue north on Malibu Canyon Road for apx seven miles, and then turn right onto Mulholland Hwy.  Immediately look for the King Gillette Ranch entrance on the right.

Parking:  Parking fee of $7.00.  Note: be sure to have exact change for the envelops provided in the unattended payment iron boxes.

Facilities:  Toilets and water available in the Dormitory Building.

King Gillette Ranch is easy to access and has a nice variety of choices to paint or sculpt.  Whether setting up near buildings or down at the pond or at picnic tables under the trees, you should find a nice spot for making your next creation.
