South Lake Tahoe
September 28 – October 1, 2017
The Greater Sacramento Sierra Chapter invites CAC members and friends to enjoy a weekend of painting en plein air.
VENUE/LODGING: Located in South Lake Tahoe, the Manzanita Lodge is an ideal location for this intimate retreat with beautiful scenery and a relaxing environment. All rooms contain one Queen bed and one Murphy or Futon. Participants may choose a roommate or be assigned one. Triple occupancy rooms may be arranged with the CAC if all three parties have agreed beforehand. Listed prices include three nights and all programs! Enrollment will open to Day-Pass and Non-member participants at the end of August.
RATES/COST: $395/person Double (or Triple) Occupancy; $510/person for Single Room

Cancellation Policy: Reservations may be cancelled up to August 15, with 80% refund of fees. After August 15, cancellations will not be refunded unless the room can be re-booked by a wait-list participant, in which case we will also give an 80% refund.

Thursday, September 28, Day 1: Check-In: 3:00 p.m. Evening Activity: Get acquainted and get organized: We will identify locations, discuss possible plein air locations and provide maps. Artists may form groups to paint, or work individually. Friday, September 29, Day 2: Daytime Activity: Group or individual painting in the area Evening Activity: Voluntary Daily Critique to be led by Jean LeGassick Saturday, September 30, Day 3: Daytime Activity: Group or individual painting in the area Evening Activity: Voluntary Daily Critique to be led by Jean LeGassick Sunday, October 1, Day 4: Check-Out: 12:00 p.m. MEALS: Meals are meant to be group bonding events, but there are plenty of local restaurants nearby! We will be organizing this with attendees as to who brings what and duties will be shared. Everyone will bring their own food and be on their own for breakfast and lunch. However, we feel that the camaraderie will more than offset the efforts required by the group. Wine. coffee, tea, soft drinks and water will be supplied by CAC. |
