Complimentary Event for CAC Members

CAC Signature Artist Craig Nelson will present a special demonstration just for CAC members, during which he will create an enchanting landscape of the Santa Barbara coastline as he works at the Waterhouse Gallery.

Members are being provided exclusive access to this complimentary event (see zoom link for event below) due to the generosity of three CAC members: Craig Nelson and Ralph and Diane Waterhouse. The Waterhouses are the chapter chairs for the CAC Santa Barbara Chapter and the owners of the gallery, which has been a fixture in the Santa Barbara community since 1984.

About Craig Nelson

Since 1970, Dr. Craig Nelson has been depicting figures, landscapes and various environments in rich vibrant oils. His passion for the subjects relates directly to his brushwork, weaving mood and emotion into each work of art.

After graduating from Art Center College of Design with distinction, Dr. Nelson began his career working in Los Angeles for recording companies and motion picture studios. He also began teaching at Art Center in 1974 and for the past 30 years has been sharing his knowledge at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where he currently serves as the Executive Director of the School of Fine Art Painting.
