California Art Club members and the public are invited to join the California Art Club’s San Francisco Bay Area and Monterey Chapters for a lively and informative demonstration by artist Bill Davidson with a Paint/Sculpt out at Carmel Beach following the Demo. Bill has been on the main stage twice at the Plein Air Convention & Expo, and due to the overwhelming response of his first two videos, is in the process of doing his third for Streamline Art Video. He has won several national landscape painting awards and is represented by Legacy Gallery in Wyoming, Meyer Vogel Gallery in Charleston, Maritime Gallery at Mystic Seaport, & Reiser Fine Art in Carmel.

Bill is an engaging and dynamic teacher with lots of practical advice for painters at any level. For this demonstration:

–Bill will demonstrate a seascape and show how sky can add drama and mood and how it can make or break a landscape.
–He will explain how to obtain energy in a painting through brush strokes, palette knife, edges, and making exciting shifts quickly.
–Bill will explain why “going for it”, in a risky and expressive way, will enhance you and your paintings in exciting ways.
–Throughout the demo, Bill will weave in his thoughts, based in neuroscience, on how slight changes in attitude can vastly improve your work.
