We ask artists to represent Lazy Days of Summer via contemporary-traditional methods. Any genre of work will be eligible for consideration.

Summer is the hottest season of the year, and the temp can stay warm even after the sun goes down. This undoubtedly brings on the Lazy Days of Summer. The works submitted could range from depicting beachgoers lounging in the sand, to inviting sunny landscapes, to nocturnal seascapes aglow with bioluminescence, to figures finding respite in shaded parks, to gardens overflowing with fresh vegetables and fruit. Sculptures could showcase beachgoers clad in this swimsuits, to melting ice cream or even wildlife lazying about in sun.

We kindly request that artists submit works created in the last two years.

Paintings in oil, watercolor, pastel or acrylic. Drawings in charcoal, color pencil or graphite.

Sculptures in permanent materials such as bronze, marble, terra cotta, fiberglass, resin or wood.

Since this is an entirely virtual exhibition, there is no limit on dimensions.

Please note that no giclees, digital works or digitally altered works will be accepted. This will automatically disqualify artwork from the competition.
