Greetings Friend!
I have exciting news as we look toward 2022. Next year our 111th Annual Gold Medal Exhibition will be presented in collaboration with the Bowers Museum, the esteem institution that has been voted the best museum in Orange County by both the Orange County Register and the Los Angeles Times. While we have partnered with the Bowers Museum in the past, the upcoming Gold Medal Exhibition will represent the first time our hallmark event is installed in the museum’s galleries.
As we prepare for the display at the Bowers, I encourage all Associate Artists to apply for our Annual Artist Member Jurying and possibly become eligible to submit artwork for our Gold Medal Exhibitions and other high-visibility events. The deadline is Friday, November 12 and decisions will be announced in January.
Before we close out the year, we will hold our Annual Holiday Party on December 5 at the Valley Hunt Club in Pasadena. One of the many highlights of the event will be presenting the William and Julia Bracken Wendt Award to Mark and Janet Hilbert, the founders of the Hilbert Museum of California Art, who have done so much to spotlight the artistic and cultural development of the Golden State. I hope you will join me for the festivities.
