This month has no shortage of art-related activities for CAC members. A couple highlights in March include the first Membership Meeting of the year and a very special paint/sculpt-out on the traditional lands of the Tongva people.
For the Membership Meeting, we will meet at the Autry on March 11 for a docent-led tour of the Masters of the American West Exhibition, which features a number of CAC artists.
The Great Hahamongna Paint/Sculpt-Out will take place on March 18 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of this environmental treasure in the Arroyo Seco, where the mountainous watershed meets the urban plain. “Hahamongna” in the tribe’s native language means “Flowing Waters, Fruitful Valley.”
