Jean Stern, one of the country’s foremost experts on the California Plein Air movement, will lead a tour of the exhibition California Impressionism: The Gardena High School Collection, which features works by numerous early California Art Club artists, including Franz Bischoff, Edgar Payne and Jack Wilkinson Smith. As Stern addresses the merits of individual works as well as the collection, he will provide insights for art enthusiasts interested in building their own collections.
