DIRECTIONS: From the 5 Fwy, take the 74/Ortega Highway exit and drive inland, about 7 miles. Watch for Park Entrance sign. Parking fee is $5. After parking, meet at the second campsite on the right.

NOTE: The giant Sycamores will be in good color, and there’s lots of winderness; hillsides, old oaks, wide fields of cacti, and vistas of San Juan Creek. There’s a spectacular plateau view of the creek at the end of the main access road. No amenities, so do bring lunch and/or snacks and water. Restrooms are in the park.
