Join CAC Signature Artist Michael Obermeyer for a three-day painting workshop in Laguna Canyon. The workshop will begin on Friday with a lecture and painting demonstration in Michael’s studio. The group will spend the next two days outdoors, creating several works each day. Michael will provide individual instruction throughout the week and at the end of the third day participants will have an informal critique at the studio. Daily schedule: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Students will work on completing successful small paintings on location, focusing on composition, design, color and values while using a simple palette. Michael will discuss materials, reference materials for painting, and using a simple method of completing a painting in a limited amount of time.

Open to all levels of experience.
