The Ruskin Art Club is presenting the art talk “From the Arroyo Seco Canyon to the Cosmos: The California Art Club’s Avant-Garde Journey of More than 100 Years.” 

Three thought leaders who have been instrumental in today’s renewed interest in traditional art forms – Jean Stern, Peter Adams and Elaine Adams – will present the California’s Art Club’s illustrious history, from its early years, which included the involvement of Ruskin artists, to its revival in 1993, which was spearheaded by the Adamses, and its innovative approaches to expanding the appreciation of classical art forms with initiatives that span land preservation and space exploration.
