Subject:
Building upon the California Art Club’s long history promoting traditional art forms, we are pleased to announce the second quarterly competition for our Excellence in Traditional Fine Art Competition!
The mission of this new initiative is to encourage artists to develop and refine their classical art skills, and spotlight their mastery by providing a platform to showcase contemporary-traditional works of art.
We ask our artists to represent the theme for this competition, Moments of Joy, via contemporary-traditional methods. Imagery could reflect an idyllic view of a sandy beach on a warm summer day, a celebration of one of life’s many special occasions or unexpected moments that bring a smile to your face.
Any genre of work will be eligible for consideration. Furthermore, we encourage artists to submit work created in the last year.
Kristin Hoerth, Editor-in-Chief of the Southwest Art Magazine, will judge this competition.
Medium:
Paintings in oil, watercolor, pastel or acrylic.
Sculptures in permanent materials such as bronze, marble, terra cotta, fiberglass, or wood.
Commission:
60% Artist; 40% CAC
Submission Information:
Submit all artwork through Online Juried Shows. There is no entry limit. Please note that all submission fees are non-refundable, and all notifications of acceptance will be sent to artist's Online Juried Shows profiles.
