113th Annual Gold Medal Exhibition
This exhibition is unthemed. CAC juried artists may submit up to two “standard-size” works and one miniature for consideration, keeping in mind the California Art Club’s mission, which is to promote the best examples of traditional fine art while showcasing what makes your work unique. We kindly request that artists submit works created in the last three years. Artwork submitted cannot have won any awards nor can it have been displayed in any other exhibition, CAC or otherwise. If it is discovered that accepted artwork does not adhere the above criteria, the artwork will be forfeited from showing in the exhibition. Read more

On Location in Malibu
We are pleased to announce that the California Art Club and the Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art are partnering again to organize the exhibition On Location in Malibu 2024, which will be the ninth in a series which has been held every three years since 1999. Read more

Idyllic Impressions
We invite artists to submit paintings that explore areas where inspiration has struck.This exhibition will explore atmospheres that capture the simplicity of the senses in nature. Themes of figurative and landscape works may include, actions occurring in the spark of a moment, the glimpse of a detail caught in the corner of one's eye, and the amplification of the picturesque; all capturing the essence of Idyllic Impressions. The Diverse Environment of the Arroyo Seco
Please note that all current artist members are now eligible for consideration in this exhibition, including Associate Artist Members. Affectionately known to locals as “the Arroyo”, the Arroyo Seco in Pasadena is a protected parkland with 22 miles of trails and recreation opportunities. It provides the habitat to sustain the rich biodiversity found within this stunning canyon. We ask that artists submit works that capture the picturesque nature and unique charm of the varied spaces in the Arroyo Seco, with special attention to its habitat, water resources and wild life common to the area. The Wonders of Winter
Submissions could depict anything that showcases the wonders of winter; from figures skiing, to ballerinas dancing the Nutcracker, to nocturnal scenes showcasing a dazzling display of holiday lights and decorations, to snow dusted trees or snowcapped mountains, to migrating birds, or even allegorical works exploring the mythological story of the winter season. Some potential sculptures could be anything from a star, to an angel, to an intricate snowflake, to hibernating or migrating animals, etc Read more
