Krystal Allen, in conjunction with The Painters Place picture framers, will be donating a watercolor of the Bolinas Lagoon titled "Misty Ridge" to the San Francisco Fine Arts Museum's Achenbach Foundation's Fourth Annual AGAC Spring Benefit for the Curatorial Fellowship Endowment Fund and will be held at the Century Club Building on Saturday, May 3, 2008.

Art Guevara's portrait of Tony Forster will be on view at the Historical Society in San Juan Capistrano, as well as a series of portraits exhibited at the Library of Mission San Juan Capistrano.

Maggie Renner Hellmann has been nominated for the 2008/2009 Rydell Visual Arts Fellowship Award.

Irena Jablonski was chosen to be the painter behind the scenes in the production of a feature film 'Annabel Lee,' written and directed by filmmaker Michael Rissi, and shot September/October 2007 on location in Santa Barbara.

Jillian Kogan unfurls a new solo show “State of Mind,” featuring her venerated flag assemblages at Ambrogi Castanier Gallery opening January 26, 2008 through February 24, 2008.

Shirley McWhorter Moss is currently completing a project of five life-size military figures for the town of Naperville, IL. The grouping is of five WWII veterans from Naperville that received the Silver Star award and other major awards for their service. The uniqueness of this monument is that these five veterans were from this small town of less than four thousand people, (at that time), and attended the same school together.

Elena Roché is one of the featured artists in the newly published Watercolor Flower Artist's Bible from Chartwell Books. Eight of Elena's floral watercolor paintings illustrate her technique and serve as examples of finished flower paintings. The book is available in most book stores and online at Amazon.
