However, in the Los Angeles Times (Fred Hogue, Native Artists Must Paint California's Masterpieces, July 22, 1934) we find this: "The California Art News, monthly publication of the California Art Club, whose home is on the summit of Olive Hill in Barnsdall Park, announces that it 'covers the West's greatest art district.'"]
